Many of the children we serve have fallen behind in school, this poses a problem for them especially if they are in 11th, grade and have a 5th, grade reading level. That is why all students receive Academic Achievement Testing so that an Individual Education Plan can be created for them.

7. What is the staff to student ratio at The Academy of Eastern Arizona?
The staff to student ration is 1:6. In the academic setting there are only 6 students per teacher.

8. Is The Academy of Eastern Arizona Co-ed?
Absolutely not. We find that the co-ed environment takes the kids longer to effect changes. Experience has shown that this is a result of students not focusing on treatment and instead is concentrating much of their time and energy on attempting to get acceptance from the opposite sex. Other issues also keep us from having a co-ed environment, such as, the kid's unwillingness to discuss issues in-group with members of the opposite sex present.

9. What is the cost for Eastern Arizona Academy?
Many facilities have a base price and add "extras" such as Therapy, Allowances and incidental cost. Eastern Arizona Academy has one rate that includes all these services. The monthly rate for Eastern Arizona Academy is $3,000 and includes all aspects of the program with the exception of medical costs. Parents should also note that this cost is comparable to most facilities base rate before any therapeutic services are offered.
