Discipline
At The Academy of Eastern Arizona-Boarding School, located in Holbrook Arizona, we give the highest priority to the maintenance of order and discipline.
The Academy of Eastern Arizona-boarding school is a Staff Secured troubled teen all girls Boarding School, where resident activities are monitored 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Upon arrival, each resident troubled teen girl is fully instructed by our staff on program rules and expectations, as well as consequence Discipline for violations.
Rules and Expectations
Immediately respond to staff direction Maintain proper hygiene and grooming standards Gang behavior strictly prohibited Verbal and Physical intimidation strictly prohibited Racial, Sexist, and derogatory comments strictly prohibited
Sleeping quarters kept clean and in order at all times Seat belts worn at all times in moving vehicles Hands off belongings of other residents. No Smoking No Swearing or inappropriate comments Horseplay not allowed nor tolerated.
Dress standards to be maintained at all times No Fighting No Stealing or borrowing in any form Possession or use of drugs or contraband is strictly prohibited
While at The Academy of Eastern Arizona-Boarding School each resident Troubled Teen girl will be held accountable for their behavior as well as all violations of any rules or expectations and consequence Discipline will be enforced. The Academy of Eastern Arizona-Boarding School staff will immediately respond to and enforce all rule violations with consequence Discipline. Consequences for rule violations or poor behavior range from loss of privileges to filing of formal charges for violations of State Laws.
In cases involving adverse physical behavior The Academy of Eastern Arizona-Boarding School, located in Holbrook Arizona, utilizes the techniques of "Therapeutic Crisis Intervention" which Discipline, involves immediate staff intervention combined with direct staff/resident interaction. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention utilizes a process that de-escalates the resident's adverse emotional and physical outburst and teaches the resident techniques for controlling repeated occurrences. Physical restraint is utilized in cases where the resident poses a threat to themselves or others.
Searches
As part of our program, and to insure rule compliance, all residents are subject to unscheduled searches of their personal items, sleeping quarters, and any belongings by staff at any given time during there enrollment.
