Adults and Teens with ADHD

Although the cause of ADHD - attention deficit hyperactivity disorder – is still relatively unknown, it affects nearly ten percent of school age children and teenagers in the United States today. Researchers have shown that teens with ADHD have less activity than normal in areas of the brain that control their attention. Teens with ADHD have problems concentrating, keeping organized and act impulsively.

But of course, adults and teens with ADHD can still receive treatment for their disorder. Patients should consider being evaluated by a psychologist or psychiatrist who has experience in dealing with this disorder. There are treatments out there that are available to you that will make you live a normal life. Adults and teens with ADHD benefit from specialized drugs for their disorder.
